Nary a picture was taken on the fourth of July, not of the kids red-white-and-blue outfits, not at our neighborhood parade, not at our awesome cookout in this evening, so in honor of this egregious oversight on our part, we'll start out the month of July posting our gorgeous pictures the amazing Katie Rittershaus at MasonDee Photography took on June 21!
This time Katie suggested the Mordecai House which turned out to be a great spot with lots of shade for the already toasty summer morning.
First stop the brick wall...
Next up a blanket by the garden. Clara was already saying that her cheeks hurt from smiling.

Then Clara, aching face and all.
Last but not least, Jack. And we did manage to get his jaw unclenched for a few.
A quick stop on the path caught a cute moment between Jack and Clara.
Then Meghan returned from her potty break to mix things up.
Last stop, the green steps as things were really getting crazy with a couple of priceless pictures of Meghan.
I jumped in right at the end. Now I sort of wished I'd showered and fixed myself up, but it seemed impossible to think about getting myself and the kids ready for the shoot. And the pictures of them were much more important!
