Trip to Seattle

10/18 - Meghan and our neighbor Lucy showing off their twin pumpkin "hook stuffies". It was Meghan's favorite birthday present. Guess who she got it from?

10/22 - The Wolf Walk-a-thon was a success! Actually it was a huge success thanks to so many people from near and far donating to help our school. I'm particularly happy b/c I ran it and didn't want to let everyone down.

This week was exceptionally exciting for Clara because she accompanied Brec on his business trip out to Seattle. Here they are at the Raleigh airport.

On the plane ready for take-off.

10/23 - Clara toured around the city with Annabeth who I think had a blast showing Clara the sights.

Top-Pot Donuts.

Pike Place Market

10/25 - Nothing like an early morning flight to get the juices flowin'!

Meghan's Fourth Birthday!

October 17, 2015 - Meghan turns 4! So hard to believe. Her mood was a little rocky in the beginning. She was upset that her birthday balloons kept turning sideways.

It's tough to be 4 when the wind is literally not blowing your way.

We had a party in the afternoon with several of Meghan's friends from preschool. The lovely table!

Once the party got going, her mood was much improved.

Happy Birthday to Meghan!

After cupcakes the children decorated pumpkins.

Nay-Nay & Pop-Pop were there to celebrate with us.

Meghan opened her present from her friends after the party ended.

And Mommy got a much needed Cosmo having survived the party and the Wolf Walk-a-thon the day before.

Meghan opens presents from family after dinner.

Excited for her new 2-wheeled scooter.

And her new Frozen underwear.

And her new piggy bank. Clearly Jack's excited also.

Happy Birthday, part deux!

Happy Birthday to our big four year old!

Early October/Wolf Walk-a-thon

September ended and an extra busy October began.

10/3 - We attended a wedding of one of Brec's work colleagues in nearby Durham.

10/4 - Daddy took the kids to the science museum downtown and ran into these jungle creatures.

Clara enjoyed some ice cream after a Y-Guides meeting.

10/6 - It was particularly sweet to pull out this outfit for Meghan to wear this Fall as it was the outfit Clara was wearing the very first time she held Meghan. Mind boggling how big she's gotten.

10/7 - The big October event for Mommy was running the Wolf Walk-a-thon fundraiser for our elementary school. The kids made the poster to solicit donations from those far away. Look for another inquiry in about a month ;)

10/12 - Su-su & Gramby stopped in on their way further south.

10/14 - As part of spirit week at school, the kids dressed up as their favorite book characters. Jack was Henry of the "Henry and Mudge" books.

Clara chose to go as Mildred Hubble from the "Worst Witch" books.

Meanwhile I was busy working on last minute details for the walk-a-thon. Prizes came in just in time.

10/15 - Meghan's preschool held their annual "Dads & Donuts" celebration since Father's day happens after school has been let out for the summer. Meghan loves having a chance to have Daddy in her classroom.

10/16 - The Wolf Walk-a-thon! Thankfully the day went off without a hitch. Here are the third graders after finishing their walk.

September 2015

After a fun-filled weekend in South Boston celebrating Augs' 90th birthday, it was suddenly September, and we fell into our Fall routine.

9/1 - Meghan gave up her Nuks, sealed them away in her "Nukkie pocketbook" up in her closet. Baby's all growed up! She had a little trouble sleeping those first few nights, and some of the positions she ended up in were pretty interesting.

9/6 - Labor day weekend Gramby & Su-Su came down for a visit. We went out to Dos Taquitos. Jack  looks up from his artwork.

9/7 - A little iPad time with Gramby.

End of the summer ice cream trip!

9/8 - With a break in the heat, the impatiens really take off.

9/19 - "Talk Like a Pirate Day" at Krispy Kreme. A free dozen donuts are attainable by wearing "3 pieces of pirate paraphernalia." The girls were all over it.

Mission accomplished, booty acquired.

9/22 - More creative sleeping positions from Meghan.

9/23 - And speaking of creative positions, Jack had an interesting one for reading.
