Just like that we were back from Richmond and our wonderful Thanksgiving celebration to start the week off in the much anticipated month of December You know what that means, time to capture the perfect Christmas card picture!
Monday, December 1st
Here we are on our walk back from school and the park, what better place to start snapping photos than the bus stop. I took no less than 20, and these were the best three. It's going to be a long road to Christmas card status.
Tuesday, December 2
Meghan was very proud of her wooden block tower.
Saturday, December 6
Meghan was doing a little patio sweeping, a girl after my own heart. "I don't know what stinks." Too cute.
Meanwhile I was Columbia, SC for the weekend for a mini UVA S'women reunion with the added bonus of lunching with Mark!
Sunday, December 7
The kids enjoyed bagels in the backyard.
Thursday, December 11th
One again attempting to take a photo for the Christmas card. Clara and Rosalind were acting silly as soon as the camera was brought out.
Jack and Meghan waited patiently for Clara to extricate herself.
Captured several images and made the campaign promise that if everyone smiled and looked at the camera, they could watch TV when we got home, a rare treat during the school week.
Jackpot! I like the festive outfits + the winter feel. Phew, one less stress for the Christmas season.
Friday, December 12th
Meghan cruises around the house on her trike with Baby Margaret. It's amazing to me doing this post 7 months later how much she's changed in what feels like such a short amount of time, though when I stop and think about it, it's almost 20% of her lifetime. But still!
Sunday, December 14th
Hanging out with Syd under the table.
Bringing in the Christmas tree!
Everyone helps with the decorating.
Jack and Meghan enjoying a seasonal snack.
Fire! Brec has always longed for a fire place, and this winter season we pulled the portable fire place out of the shed. He really enjoyed building fires all winter long.
New addition to our Christmas decorations this year, lights on the back porch!
Definitely don't take as many bath tub shots anymore as the kids get older and the tub gets more crowded. Gotta explore all my options, though, when searching for that perfect Christmas card pic.
Monday, December 15th
Our friends got a golden retriever puppy named Sally, and I took Meghan over to meet her.
This picture alone makes me want to get a puppy.
Meghan plays with a puppy for the first time.
Tuesday, December 16th
On Tuesday of this third week of December, Meghan had her Christmas chapel and her last day of preschool for the year.
Friday, December 18th
We headed to the mall for some last minute shopping while the big kids finished out their last day of school for the year.
Jack brought home this early Christmas present.
Next up, Christmas in Raleigh!
