Despite the fact that we missed so many days of school (8!) for snow and had to give up three days of our spring break as make-up days, Wake county still managed to finagle Good Friday off for the schools (but sadly not Easter Monday). So we left Raleigh after school on Thursday to head back up to Richmond for the holiday weekend.
First things first, spring hair cut de Delshay!
After a bit of shopping for new shoes with Nay-Nay and Memo, we got an ice cream treat at Gelati Celesti.
That night Augs stole the last piece of chocolate cake right out from under Memo's nose!
Saturday morning Brec met Gramby at Tuckahoe to let the kids play. They had fun rocking the see-saw.
Later in the afternoon the kids hunted for eggs at Su-su & Gramby's.

A little eggs-tra fun with an egg-in-spoon race
Meghan's got the winning technique down.
Easter morning at the breakfast table. Aunt Bett's joined us this year!
Clara finds the contents of her egg pleasing.
Jack goes straight for the bunny's head.
Best picture of all three in the frame I could manage.
Meghan anxiously awaits the start to the Hershey kiss hunt.
And they're off!
After a morning of candy and lounging, we got spiffed up to head downtown to the Easter Parade. I snapped lots of images with lots of huffiness and not looking at the camera. Clara was a trooper and really gave me some cute smiles.
Down at the parade, Memo, Nay-nay, and Aunt Betts look festive and full of spring cheer.
Pop-pop poses with the kids and their coveted ice cream cones.
Next up it was time for Mommy & Daddy's lunch: Dogs 'R' Us!
Yum!
Clara took a moment to stretch out in the warm April sun after the long, cold, lonely winter.
The kids enjoy the Dogs 'R' Us tasty French fries.
Scads of people turned out on this gorgeous Easter Sunday.
Three sillies gathered around Peter Rabbit.
Meghan & Clara gaze at the animals in the petting zoo.
Meghan got a little tired at the end of our perambulation.
Perfect photo op.
Sadly after the parade it was time to head back home. Clara gives Memo a big hug.
At least we returned to our flowers blooming!
