Christmas in Richmond

As has been our tradition for the last several years, after spending Christmas morning in Raleigh, we packed up and drove to Richmond to continue the festivities with our extended family!

Jack got some snuggle time with Lucy.

Tickles abound!

Nay-nay and Pop-pop spreading their Christmas cheer.

Meghan puts her new present from Memo to good use.

She takes a break from all the cleaning to get a hug from Uncle Jack.

I'll just have one glass of wine, please.

Pre-Christmas dinner walk - ultimate Christmas decoration.

Everyone is getting ready for the feast.

After the long, fun, festive day the kids don their new holiday PJ's and snuggle into bed.

Or at least snuggle into Meghan's bed.

Which she didn't mind when it was just Clara but protests when Jack climbs in.

Meanwhile upstairs Lucy and I try on our new Christmas PJ's too!

The dogs are very interested in Lucy's dessert that close to their level.

Heh, so cute.

Day after Christmas Meghan plays with her new "Frozen" sticker book as she's ambushed in a hug by Daddy.

Later on after a day at Gramby & Su-su's, Meghan falls asleep in the car on the way home from picking up delicious 8 1/2 for dinner.

On the 27th we played on the Tuckahoe playground. Meghan's epic slide:

Later on that afternoon, Jack had a hair cut with Delshay and Meghan wanted in on the action. She got her first real hair cut and was so happy to be in the chair.

Jack talks about his favorite movie ever. Seems like Uncle Jack and Dy hit the jackpot with their Christmas gift to Jack this year.

Check out that great hair cut.

On the 28th Brec's Aunt Ginny had a birthday party in Norfolk, VA. He traveled down with Gramby & Su-su, taking Jack and Clara with them. They checked out the docks.

Clara and her cousin Spencer.

The night before New Year's Eve we went to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens to walk around and view the Christmas lights.

We started off the New Year with a walk to the park and a quick picture on the hugie mama rock.

New Year's Day, jumping off the Hugie Mama Rock.

Christmas/New Year's being on a Thursday made for an extra long time before it was back to the grind of non-holiday life. One last shot of our Christmas tree before it was time to pack it all away.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Next up, January 2015!
