First Week of May

The first weekend in May we got together with the Sykes family for the first time in far too long for dinner at our house. Alison received a nice camera for her birthday in early December at a time when we were deeply concerned about Sydney's health. So she said she take some pictures of her for us. She was busy, we were busy, and Sydney seemed to be holding steady with her new medicine and eating regimen, so the photo session didn't happen until May. But it finally did, and we got the great pictures of our Sydney doggie.

She also snapped a few of the kids and proceeded to show me that my camera had many of the same functions as hers and that I really need to take the time and figure out how to use mine.

In the midst of all the Sydney pictures, she took a few of the children as well. Meghan was ready and willing to look at the camera.

Even Jack came around and gave us a smile!

The big girls were not so agreeable.

During the following week on Tuesday, I went into Jack's class to help out with a craft.

Wednesday night after a trip to the library, Daddy was talked into an ice cream treat.

On Thursday at the park after attending her Mother's day tea at preschool in the morning, Meghan proudly displayed her rock collection.

After a week of having the time of their lives playing Tarzan, I finally captured a video of Clara swinging on the vine.

Take two!
