Time in the Saucier.

Enjoying some Hot Cross Buns for breakfast.

Hanging out with big brother and sister.

Snuggle time in the Ergo.

Since the arrival of Clara's American Girl doll, "Kit" for Christmas, we've been reading the stories that go along with the dolls. Earlier this winter we read about "Felicity", a girl who lived in Colonial Williamsburg in 1774. Felicity attends a dance lesson at the governor's palace in one of the stories. We took a trip to Colonial Williamsburg over spring break, and Clara was very excited to see the real thing.

Jack was excited by the storm drain.

Good thing they covered the well.

On a bench all done with "ye olde Williamsburg"

Enjoying Pop-pop's gorgeous flowers.

Snuggling in the crib.

A new use for the water table.

Mmm, grass.

Captain Meghan patiently awaiting departure from Richmond.

Spring Break 2012: Easter Sunday

And now for 2012...

Nothing like starting off the morning with chocolate eggs and jellybeans.

It was a gorgeous spring day, so warm in fact that the water table was back in business.

Its number one fan.

On the way to the Easter parade!

Ran into Will & Maria whilst parking our car.

Then we quickly found the rest of the Zimmerman-Schaeffer clan.

Off we go.

There's always time for dancin' in the street.

Clara's End-of-the-Year Performance

Today was Clara's last day of pre-school and end of the year performance. The school put on a show about Big Al, the biggest, loneliest fish in the ocean and his search for friends. There were some pirates, mermaids, and Clara's class - the fish. Clara was one of the clown fish. Here are several snapshot videos of the production.

Introduction of the Clown Fish

Singing "E malama, malama, malama, i ke kai (Hawaiian! for "protect the ocean")

Singing "The Wonder of the Coral Reef"

What does Cinderella wear when she goes in the ocean? Glass flippers!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's day to all the mothers out there.

Meghan with Sydney, playing with my present from the kids, a bread box to store all of our tasty homemade bread.

My other mother's day gift, a clay flower that Clara made in school.

We enjoyed lunch at Village Deli today.

And played in the backyard this afternoon.
