Thanksgiving (Nov. 21 - 26)

Previously in November on the CJM Chronicles:

This year we headed back to Richmond for Thanksgiving. It was the first time in awhile that we would be doing double Thanksgiving dinners, the early shift at Gramby & Su-su's and the late shift at Nay-nay & Pop-pop's. Getting ready to head over for our first feast, we snapped these Thanksgiving family portraits in the back yard.

Clara showing off her new "Chinese" outfit from Nay-nay.

Jack's version of "cheese"!

Meghan and Mommy, rocking the hair down for all of 2 seconds, I'm sure.

Over at the Carsons, a few shots of our Thanksgiving table.

Su-su with Meghan at her first "first-hand" Thanksgiving dinner.

Big girl using her utensils.

A little drawing after dinner

Post-Thanksgiving play in the front yard.

Morning after Turkey day, dancing to work the turkey off...

As I headed out to the toy store with Nay-nay & Memo on Black Friday, I snapped this picture of "the Jacks". Little Jack seems to have a special connection with his uncle. It was great to have Jack & Dy back for their first East coast Thanksgiving, and Dy survived her first Carrig Thanksgiving experience!

Later on Friday afternoon we headed over to the Schaeffers house for a little play and pizza! The added bonus was that Aspa & Coleman came to play as well. We were able to get the big kids + Anna to pose for a picture on the couch.

We decided to mix things up a bit this year. Because we planned to stay in Raleigh this year until Christmas day, we opted to go see Santa Claus over our Thanksgiving visit. It turned out to be our best decision ever. Saturday morning at 11 ish, there was absolutely no line whatsoever. We got to spend some quality time with Santa, the real Santa!

The girls decked out in their Christmas finest.

Meghan is wearing a dress that both Clara and I wore.

Clara is 6 months older than Meghan here.

Chatting it up with the Snow Queen.

Santa!

Is it wrong to wish that Santa had been just a tad more forceful in restraining Jack so that all three could have been in the picture? :)

Clara and Su-su on the bears.

Jack looking dapper with Daddy and Meghan.

Up close and personal with Jack.

Obviously we had too much fun over the holiday as you can see the state of affairs on our Monday afternoon walk.
