It's been a festive week at the Carson household. We started the weekend off right when a knock on our door early Saturday morning revealed this on our doorstep... a King Cake from Haydel's bakery in New Orleans!
One look at it and the kids were already shouting which color they wanted.
But first things first, a big thank you to Kori!
It even comes with beads. Meghan has been sporting them all week.
Clara found the baby in her first piece!
Happy Mardi Gras!
A cute pic from later on in the wagon. Her new favorite activity is to be pulled around the backyard. She lets you know when she's ready to go.
Meghan in the bath: I grabbed the camera because when I looked at her from down the hall, all I could see was her head, and she was shaking it dancing. Of course once the camera was switched on, that ceased, but the video is cute nonetheless. Clara was trying to help my cause and get her to repeat her earlier moves but no dice.
Today the kids celebrated Valentine's day at the park gorging on candy the kindergartners received from their Valentine's at school. And what perfect place to eat than on the roof of a play house.

While they were filling up on their month's quota of sugar, Meghan was busy going down the twisty slide for the first time. She's climbed up to it several times on previous occasions, but for whatever reason the wind was blowing just right today, and she decided to take the plunge. She had a blast going again and again.
Happy Valentine's Day!
