Once again my dreams of being caught by a certain point (in this case Christmas) are not to be, but at least I will be ready to take on October before Valentine's day! Just to put the pressure on, I'm making my new goal of being caught up before the April birthday celebrations commence public. Here goes nothing...
The Fall Festival of which you are about to read remains one of the most memorable events of the Fall. Even still some 4 months later, when we pass the school Jack says, "There's the Fall Festival."
Before the official start to the weekend, Friday afternoon Meghan was catching some couch time with her big brother. She was so excited to be up there.
Our last weekend in September was kicked off at the elementary school's annual Fall Festival. It was an outdoor event for which the rain thankfully held off. The kids got a chance to go on some bouncy equipment, win prizes by playing games in the gym, and run around on the playground. It went a little past Meghan's bedtime, but she was a champ and after only some minor fussing fell asleep in the Ergo while I snacked on a Locopop.
Jack is having some fun at the flagpole before the Fall Festival.
In line for the super slide
Here they go!
In line for the pirate ship, it made for such a sweet picture.
Saturday morning the rain set in, so the kids did a lot of artwork. Clara incorporated the "witch hat stamp" she'd won at the Fall Festival into many of her drawings and also some body art.
Meanwhile Meghan chose to hop on Pop.
We headed downtown for lunch at Beaseley's, but when faced with a 20+ min wait, we opted to dine next door at Chuck's instead. The kids were very excited for milkshakes and fries.
Afterwards we went over to Brec's office to take advantage of the wide open space to ride around on the scooters and run around for a bit.
Sunday morning we enjoyed the sunshine on our walk and trip to the park. Meghan's first ride on the piggie.

On to the slide
Everyone swings.
clara has quite the face in the picture where she's showing off her drawing! haha - but all in all, a very cute post!!!
