President's Day Week (Feb. 15 - 21)

To start off our Friday, on day when I was slated to be two places at once due to Jack's 12:30 pm preschool pick-up and early release at 12:30 pm for Clara, Meghan opted to fall asleep on the way home from the store at 11:00 am. Thankfully Brec came home for lunch so that I could retrieve the kids and let Meghan keep sleeping which she did for over 3 hours!

Later on at home wearing their princess hats that we made at the Arts Together 30th Birthday celebration on Wednesday.

Look who the cat dragged in, Nay-nay came down to spend the weekend with us!

Meghan snagging some early morning Nay-nay time.

It snowed all day on Saturday, but as often is our curse down here in NC, the temperature hovered between 33 - 36 deg all day. Clara is determined to experience winter weather and was out in it.

Meghan at the door, checking out the snow.

The time stamp on this picture is 7:54 am, Sunday morning; Clara did not want to miss out on the snow. She was right to be out so early because despite the below freezing temps at night, the forecast for the day was low 40's.

Later on that afternoon Jack sports his current preferred method of keeping his hands warm during the chilly weather, fuzzy socks!

Sunday night we opted to spice things up with a trip to Beasely's! The girls check out the corner of Wilmington and Martin St.

Meghan has become a bit squawky at restaurants of late, so the keys were necessary.

On President's day we went on an early morning walk which apparently wasn't early enough. Meghan fells asleep in the stroller for about 15 min before we could get her up at the park, and that little cat nap seemed to spoil her sleep for the rest of the day.

Big kids on the stump.

With all that extra time in the afternoon spent not sleeping, Punky Meghan practiced her preferred method of climbing on the couch.

Later on in the backyard, Meghan gets the job done.

Double trouble.

Our short week began with rain on Tuesday, and Wednesday we were treated to a magic show.

Thursday we ate lunch at Pie Bird. Jack devoured the crack pie for dessert but was less than impressed when we tried to tell him that the main courses were pies also. He settled for the fries until it was "real pie" time.

Meghan loved the curry mayo dipping sauce for her fries. This little girl is my only savior at the dinner table. I just hope her palate remains adventurous.

On a side note I'd like to add that this has been my most prolific month of blogging ever! Now that I'm almost caught up, I'd better keep snapping pictures and videos because I'll need some material to keep up this pace. :)
