A quick present time note: Clara turns 5 1/2 today! How this first half of her sixth year has flown by. Now back to the catch-up.
The last week in August was a strange one. On the surface it looked much like the rest of the summer with a few monumental events thrown in the mix. Monday was Jack's transition day at preschool. So I went with him for 1.5 h in the morning while Brec stayed with Meghan and Clara.
Tuesday afternoon we went on our old faithful walk, but somehow it seemed different knowing that the very next day Jack would be attending his first full day of preschool, and Clara would have her transition day of kindergarten.

All summer towards the end of the walk on the greenway, the kids have been climbing up and jumping off of the fire hydrant.
Meghan has been loving her baby doll lately. It's the cutest thing when she finds it around the house. She starts shrieking with glee in such a way that I know exactly what she has found.
This particular night though, she would not let go, not even for her before bedtime feeding. We all snuggled up on the Boppy together.
By Friday it was back to summer V-K, with an early morning tickle session,
Early Friday afternoon we did go over to Clara's school to meet her new teacher, Miss Shaw! Both kids enjoyed playing with the pattern blocks in the classroom.
Later at the park Meghan shows off her strength manhandling the double stroller. Powerful Katrinka, as Pop-pop would say.
Ready to start our Labor day weekend!
