Thanks to Pop-pop's insistence and Nay-nay's perseverance, we took a vacation to Emerald Isle last week. Memo and Aubrey as well as Lucy joined us with Nay-nay and Pop-pop for a fun-filled adventure.
Clara really had a blast. We were lucky to have a very nice tidal pool form everyday at high tide that was just her speed. She was even brave enough to go in the "big girl ocean" a few times. Also she had her first experience "crabbing" -- a ye olde Carrig-Blount family tradition of going out at dusk to chase fiddler crabs -- and flying a kite. Jack managed to get a little beach time in too. Mostly he enjoyed playing on his Baby Einstein gym, showing off his new grasping skillz, cuddling with aunt, grandparents, and great-grandparents, and modeling beach attire.
