A few days before Mardi Gras my dear friend Kori, New Orleans born and raised, sent us a King Cake from the famous Manny Randazzo bakery to bring a piece of the festivities to Raleigh.
The kids having experienced the joy last year, coins in hand, beads 'round the neck, were very excited to dig in.
The cake.
Dinner consumed, now it's time to cut the cake!
Silly faces.
Saturday night, a little over 24 hours since the King Cake arrived at our doorsteps, Brec and I finished it off. Nothing like having the kids in bed, cracking open a beer with a side of delicious cake.
Thanks, Koors!
