Henry (Hal) is two months old today! What a chunker. Finally a post about his arrival and our weekend in Richmond.
To start off our summer V-K, Thursday after Clara's last day of preschool all the way back in May, we traveled up to Richmond for a long weekend. One of the highlights was knowing that we would get to meet the newest member of the Schaeffer family.
Henry Fairchild Schaeffer was born the morning of May 18th at a whopping 8 lbs, 11 oz and 21 inches long with a full head of jet black hair.

With Mommy
With Daddy
With Nay-nay. We were able to visit Carrie the very afternoon he was born.
While Nay-nay and I were at the hospital, Clara and Jack were having fun at Deep Run Park with Gramby & Su-su.
Later in the weekend Pop-pop & Clara were also able to visit Hal. Clara was so excited to see the new baby. I was much more nervous about her holding someone else's baby than I ever was when she held Meghan. She was a natural though.
Back at the house the kids burned off some energy chasing Nay-nay around the yard.
Nay-nay must really love her grandkids because I'm sure I've never seen her lie down in the grass for anyone else. Busted!
The gorgeous spring weather allowed us to explore the newest addition to Camp Pop-pop Summer Session 2012 - "Elephant Water Fun Park"
If only they'd all look at the same time.
Fill 'er up!
Busted, somebody got sprayed.
Slidin' time.
Watching from the sidelines.
Meghan happy
Meghan grumpy
Nice and warm enjoying a snack
Later in the afternoon Clara learned to "weave" and helped Pop-pop mend his orange chairs.
On Sunday night while Carrie remained in the hospital for one more night with Hal, Seth brought Luke & Anna over to Nay-nay & Pop-pop's for a dinner date.
Big kids in the pool
Little kids at the water table
They all "rode" into the kitchen on the horse together. Closest we came to have them all look at the camera simultaneously.
Second gen, second wave.
