It had been entirely too long since we'd taken a trip to SoBo. The situation was remedied last week for what would become Meghan's first visit to Memo & Augs' house.
Clearly we should have brought her sooner because she's super happy to be here!
Not quite as happy about this swing.
Clara has currently been reading the American Girl books about Addy, a girl who is a slave on a NC plantation in 1864. The real thing not being too far from South Boston, we took a trip out to the Berry Hill Plantation to see the mansion as well as the stone slave quarters that remain standing.
On the entrance hall staircase.
Posing on the stile over the stone fence.
Our plan was to eat lunch in the restaurant at the plantation, but apparently they don't serve lunch anymore. So we went to Pironi's in downtown SoBo.
Later on to beat the heat.
What a treat, Memo fried us some chicken!
The return of the blue hair! Meghan was not so happy about it. She didn't seem to grasp the comparison opportunities.
As promised... comparisons.
Younger than Meghan.
Older than Meghan.
Thank you for taking it off me.
